Ten principles for overbusy, hyper-responsible people
- We do well to get good advice from a fresh set of eyes.
- We inhibit God's work by self-importance and self-reliance.
- We wear ourselves out and become self-appointed martyrs.
- We wear others out because the whole system bogs down.
- When in doubt, teach.
- Competent and credible people are the type to look for.
- Let go and let others.
- Life isn't always supposed to be so hard.
- Top level leaders live in the realm of values and visions.
- Everyone has a call and a role from God.

It comes from a sermon by Keith Potter at Saratoga Federated Church.
