Week Eight

This week we will be continuing our study of the Middle Ages. We will continue our study of the rise of Islam and Mohammed. If time permits we will listen to a tale of from The Arabian Nights. Students will complete review worksheets at home based on reading. On Tuesday we will be working on a physical map of the continent of Europe next made from Salt Dough. The project is similar to that of our Greece and Rome creations from last year only we will be making the entire continent with the 5 major mountain chains.

Wednesday, October 31st

· Complete the Map Work handout on the Empire of Islam. Follow directions given

· Color in your best work the picture of the Scimitar and Sinbad and the Snake.

Monday, November 5^th

· Read chapters 47 (Two Empires, Two Emperors) and 48 (Getting A Start) from ACHOTW.

· Complete Handout on The Continent of Europe. Follow directions given.

· Complete Maps, Charts, and Graphs chapter 6. Have a parent correct and initial.

My Child has completed the above assignments to the best of our ability with my supervision and help where needed.
