1.  Read: Study from page 570-590 in World History: The Human Journey (Chapter 23, sections 1-4).

Test on chapters 22 and 23: Monday, October 22.

2.  Timeline:  Choose six developments that interest you from this week’s reading. Create a timeline that places them in the century (1800-1900), and illustrate each of the events. Label your timeline with a title that identifies the theme of your interest. Use unlined 8 ½ x 11 paper, and use the entire length of the paper for the one hundred year span. In addition to these five events, add at least five events of note to the line (due Oct. 22).

3.  Map: Review the physical features of Europe.  Know the names of rivers, seas, mountains, and other features on the map (quiz Oct. 24).
