3.  Primary Sources…  This week you will be looking for another friendly subject to interview.  Find a person who grew up in the 1950s or 1960s.  Interview him about life as he remembers it.  Prepare a list of questions to prompt his memory—be prepared to listen well and take lots of notes.   At the end of your interview, ask him what he considers to be some of the most significant differences between those years and these—ask him to discuss what he thinks has changed and why—and ask him to speculate about where the world is heading.

Ask questions about his family life—what Dad did, what Mom did, what people wore, what kind of chores everybody did, what kind of cars they drove, what sort of food they ate, how they amused themselves, where they went on vacation, what they learned (or didn’t) in school, what kind of mischief was popular, etc., etc., etc.

Write a paper of 750 words: Due April 22.
