Industrial America

1. Read:  Read chapters 18, 19, and 20 and complete the study guides.   You have the abbreviated chapters in the study guides—all of the basic information is there, enough to define terms and test yourselves.  I urge you to also read through the chapters in the book—but you do not need to outline them.  Take the online quizzes for chapters 18-20.

2.  Test:  You will be taking home a test this week on chapters 15 and 16—the Civil War and Reconstruction.  The test will be due next Tuesday.  You will be tested on chapters 17-20 on Thursday, February 21.

4.  Something More:  Those of you who read Paul Johnson’s book this summer would do well to return to his lucid pages and read his section on industrial America.  He gives clear and thorough coverage to the years and issues of 1860-1900.
