LC	· Read the blue box at the top of p. 255 and do Think A, B and C on pp. 255-256. Have it corrected. · (Opt.) Do Think A, B, C, D and E on pp. 47-48. Have a parent correct your work and review it with you.
WriteShop	· If you earned lower than an 80%, use today revise/correct your book report on Roll of Thunder handed back in class yesterday. · If you were unhappy with your test grade and wish to do a map or “extra credit” project (or rewrite your answers to the character identifications) on Treasure Island, get started on that today, too. · Do Lesson 14 Skill Builder (Day One) on p. 14-9 of WriteShop.
Red Fern	Read chapter 8 of Where the Red Fern Grows.
Bible Memory	Continue memorizing Philippians 4:4-7 today. Spend at least 5 minutes working on verse 6 today.
CS3	Continue Lesson 23 on pp. 80-81 by reading pp. 488-490 (Up to “Eutychus Falls Asleep) in GCB and answering #4-7 on p. 81.
Poetry	Finish memorizing your assigned lines from the “Mike Teavee” poem handed out in class. Tomorrow we will try to begin reciting this together in class from memory so we can start blocking it. Come up with some gestures to go along with your lines.

LC	· Do “A Chance to Recall” on p. 257, Think A and B. Note that this is the end of another chapter, so use these next few assignments to REVIEW for the test next week. Correct your answers. · (Opt.) Read the long blue box on p. 50 and do Think A, B, and C on pp. 50-51.
WriteShop	· Do Lesson 15 Skill Builder Day One on p. 15-10. · Look over WriteShop lessons 13, 14, 15, and 16 again and decide which you will use for the basis of your short narrative, or if you want to write a story entirely of your own creation. Write down your choice, and bring it to class on Tuesday to show me (or I will assign you one without your input!)
Red Fern	Read chapters 9 and 10.
Bible Memory	Finish memorizing Romans Philippians 4:4-7 today. Recite it to a parent and have them sign it off on your check sheet.
CS3	Read pp. 490-491 in GCB and answer #8-9 on p. 81. Also, on the map on p. 99, locate the places listed on the bottom of p. 81. Notice where these events were occurring. Try to fill in the blank map on p. 100.
Poetry	You should know the lines that come immediately before and after your lines, as well. Finalize your actions and gestures.

LC	· Use the Exercises under “Practicing with Adverbs” on p. 258-260 (Think A, B,C and E, F, G) to review this chapter’s focus on Adverbs. Check your answers and bring your questions to class to discuss.
WriteShop	· Do Lesson 15 Skill Builder Day Two on p. 15-11. Notice how much clearer the paragraphs become when you change the tenses. · Write a “Story Map” that tells your main idea for your narrative and what point of view you will write it in. Bring these to class tomorrow.
Red Fern	Read chapter 11.
Bible Memory	Memorize 2 Timothy 3:16 today. Recite it to a parent and have him or her sign it off on your check list.
CS3	Read pp. 492-494 in the GCB and do #1-6 on p. 83.
Poetry	I will give extra credit to anyone who learns the whole “Mike Teavee” poem. However, you must know at least 10-12 lines surrounding your lines to recite in class on Thursday.
