LC

  • Diagram the even numbers on p. 247, Think B.  Correct them, and if you had any trouble, go back and do Think A.  Think A is made of simpler sentences than Think B.  Bring your questions to class tomorrow.
  •  (Optional)  Read the blue boxes on the top of pp. 39 and 40 and correct the sentences in Think on both pages.  Have a parent check them.

Writing

Put your bibliography cards in alphabetical order, and if at all possible, type your bibliography on a computer using p.118 in LC as a guide.  You should have 4 or possibly even 5 sources now!  When you finish that, have fun designing a cover and/or looking for a few illustrations for your paper.

Treasure Island

Read chapters 33-34 today to complete the book!  Finish the final section of your vocabulary packet for a quiz tomorrow.

Bible Memory

Finish memorizing Romans 5:8-9 today and recite it to a parent.  Have him/her sign it off on your memory work check sheet.

CS3

Begin Lesson 21 on pp. 76-77 by reading pp.470-471 in GCB and answering #1-3 on p. 77.

Poetry

Finish memorizing your poem today.  Tomorrow is your last chance to say this one in class.

LC

·        Read the blue box on the top of p. 248 and do Think.  Diagram the evens on p. 249.  Have it corrected.

·        (Opt.)  Do p. 41, Think A, B and C.  Have a parent correct your work and review it with you.

Writing

Using your final outline and your 3x5 cards put in order, begin writing the “sloppy copy” of your research paper.  Either type it, or if you are handwriting it, skip every other line so you have plenty of space to go back and revise.

Treasure Island

If you haven’t finished the book, please do so this weekend!  Check to see that your entire vocab. packet is complete, and begin working on your map/book jacket/or other project.

Bible Memory

Begin memorizing Romans 10:9-10 today.  If you don’t know verse 9, spend 5 or more minutes working on that today.

CS3

Read pp. 472-472 in GCB and answer #4-6 on p. 77

Poetry

Try reading all of “Paul Revere’s Ride” aloud with expression.  Get a feel for the rhythm and pace of it.

·         (Opt.)  Carefully complete Think D on p. 42.  Have a parent check your work.

Writing

Finish writing your “sloppy copy” of your research paper!  If I have not seen them yet, bring to class your outline and 3x5 cards so I can look them over and give you credit for these steps of the research paper.

Treasure Island

Come to class prepared for a test tomorrow!  Bring your vocab. packet to turn in, and finish your map or book jacket to bring in tomorrow as well!  (Also, please locate your copy of Where the Red Fern Grows.)
