Read chapter 3. Plan for an in-class quiz tomorrow, so read carefully. Begin a reading response journal on a piece of paper. Write Chapter 3 at the top and write 5 sentences that summarize what happened in this chapter and your response (emotional or otherwise) to these events. Who are the “Night Riders”? What other name is their group called in history? |

Bible Memory |
Spend 5 minutes working on memorizing Matthew 7:12 (The Golden Rule). If you know it, have a parent sign it off on your sheet. |

CS3 |
Read p. 438-439 in the GCB. Do #5-7 on p. 45. Mr. DePangher covered the memory verse questions on p. 44 in Laudes about a week ago. What is Jesus saying here? Complete Lesson 14. |

Have a parent review your chapter with you and check that you have completed all lessons using the check sheet sent home. There is no diagramming on this test. Review Pronoun Cases (Objective, Nominative and Possessive), Kinds of Pronouns (Personal, Interrogative, Demonstrative, Compound, and Indefinite), Uses of Pronouns(identifying S, PN, DO, IO, OP) and agreement of pronouns and verbs. |

Complete Skill Builder 12, Day One on pp. 12-9 through 12-11 any that we did not do in class. Try to think of an event in your own experience that you can write about and write it down on p. 12-5 with the main character(s) and minor character(s) you will include. |

Read chapter 4. Make another entry in your reading response log and answer: “Who does Stacey feel he has to fight? Why? Do you think he should have fought?” Then answer this question: “Who does Mama feel she has to fight? Why? How does she do it?” |
