Dear Parents,
In class it seemed that not all have completed the Gamma math
assignments. The students need consistent practice on the
problems. I would like the students to continue to use the adding below as they
have done in Lesson 24 so that they multiply first and then do all the adding. Lesson 25 teaches the traditional way of
adding and carrying throughout the problem and some of the students are
comfortable with that and some are not ready.
Has your student watched the DVD lesson 24 with you? We
will spend time building a few problems in class on Thursday to assist with
this. Lesson 8 of Delta is new and
teaches dividing by 6. Miquon is
assigned as a review this week. This will continue to allow students to
practice addition and subtraction regrouping problems at the parent’s
discretion of quantity.
