Dear Parents,

This week we will be learning double digit multiplication and multiples of 11 in Math U See Gamma textbook lesson 23 and the same Gamma concept as last week. Parents, please watch the video for lessons 22, 23 and 24 with your student so that both of you see the building of the blocks with these math problems. It will help the student understand the place value. I gave less work to do so that the students could focus on building the problems. This is not how we learned to multiply. Please hand back test back on Thursday.

Chant: 3 teaspoons equals 1 tablespoon

3 feet equals one yard

4 quarts equals one gallon

2 pints equals one quart

8 ounces equals one cup

4 quarters equals one dollar

Perimeter is adding the outside measurements

Area is multiplying the side measurements to get the space inside.
