Dear Parents,

This week we will be learning double digit multiplication in Math U See Gamma textbook with place value notation and division by tens. Please bring Gamma and yellowbook textbooks to class. Unfortunately, I do not have time to copy textbooks in class. Please correct all math assignments and either place your initials or star at top of a page so I know you have corrected it. Students please hand back math packets so that I may give the students their homework allowance. This week, it may help to watch the Math U See DVD Gamma lesson 21 and Delta lesson 3. Next week, we will be be switching to the Purple book and have a test.

Chant: 3 teaspoons equals 1 tablespoon

3 feet equals one yard

4 quarts equals one gallon

2 pints equals one quart

8 ounces equals one cup

4 quarters equals one dollar

Perimeter is adding the outside measurements

Area is multiplying the side measurements to get the space inside.
