Dear Parents,

A test will be given for the Math U See lessons up to 16 on Wednesday. Adding fractions on handouts continues to be above the student’s developmental understanding and will not be tested. Math U See addresses fractions with equivalents and each of the students have done this successfully in lessons 13-16. It also suggests having children be involved in the kitchen with real life situations so that children actually see the measurement. This may be an opportunity for you and your child to enjoy together. I apologize the fraction assignment I have given has been more complicated than some of the students understanding. The students may continue to borrow the fraction circles to assist in understanding fractions at home. Please have them in their backpacks so that we may practice in class as well.
