Dear Parents,

This week, the students will be demonstrating measurement in class either by measuring length or finding the area. On Thursday, please involve the student in a simple life situation of measuring an area in your house or yard. For example, if you were to buy tile for your kitchen or bathroom floor, how much would you need? I will give each student who does this and shows me his work on an odd job (10 cents).

Congratulations on your child’s success in completing your home assignments! All of you have done such a good job in encouraging your child to complete and correct them. Keep up the great work! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am grateful for such wonderful students.
