Phonogram Drill

Parent drills all multi letter phonograms!  A quiz in class of most frequent missed will occur:  wor, aw, au, ew, ei, eigh, ui, ie, ey, kn, gn ti, si and ci. 

 

Phonogram Quiz

Parent dictates these multi letter phonograms.  Student writes each multi letter phonogram one time in cursive.  The parent dictates the missed phonograms until the student writes the missed phonograms correctly.

 

Spelling Quiz

Practice the following spelling words on your review list.  As you dictate each of the spelling words, ask the student this question: Is there a rule that applies to this word?

Practice any misspelled words on previous spelling word lists. 

 

Spelling Enrichment

1.  Review together the following rules cards: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 25 comparing it with the spelling words assigned.

 

2.  Dictate the sentence. In the country school I found a green apple I could feed my horse..    Did the student spell and use punctuation correctly?
